Remember Him? SmackDown Star Appears For First Time In Months, Meets With Nick Aldis

He’s got a shot? With so many wrestlers on the WWE roster, it can be difficult to find something for everyone to do. At some point, there is going to be someone who is forgotten because what they’re doing doesn’t work and then everything falls by the wayside. Occasionally they will get another chance though and that might have been the case this week on SmackDown.

This week’s SmackDown featured a behind the scenes segment where Ashante Thee Adonis came to see General Manager Nick Aldis. Adonis talked about how he wanted a chance to do something on SmackDown, with Aldis saying he had believed in Adonis since the beginning. Aldis went on to say that he had some ideas for Adonis, who has not wrestled on television since the July 28, 2023 SmackDown.

Opinion: This is an interesting change of pace, as Adonis has been off the radar for such a long time. He has never had a major chance to show what he can do on his own on the main roster so maybe there is something to the idea. If nothing else, there is always something to be said about bringing in someone fresh, as Adonis has not done anything on SmackDown in a very long time.
