It’s another role. There are a lot of people needed to put together a wrestling show. While the majority of the credit goes to the wrestlers who are out there in the ring, there are even more people who rarely get any kind of attention. The wrestlers need someone to help them put the match together and it turns out that an injured wrestler got some practice learning how to present a match.
NXT’s Zoey Stark returned to television last month after missing the better part of a year due to a torn ACL. Stark appeared on After The Bell with Corey Graves and revealed that she took on a producer’s role during her time on the injured list. She said that she wanted to learn to be a better performer and knew that seeing a match through a producer’s eye would help. Stark said it was amazing to see the different side of a match and learn what a producer has to do. This Tuesday, Stark will challenge Mandy Rose for the NXT Women’s Title and is taking part in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Title tournament.
Opinion: That is the kind of thing that you do not see many wrestlers do and it is cool to see Stark trying to improve. Stark getting to learn a different aspect of wrestling will help her in the future and should give her a new mind for the business. She has done well since she returned and it would not surprise me to see her win the title this week on NXT. If nothing else, she has put in the work.
What do you think of Stark? Will she win either title? Let us know in the comments below.
