There’s nothing wrong with another perspective. The Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum (not affiliated with WWE) has announced the Class of 2017. According to their press release, the next group of inductees will be headlined by Shawn Michaels and Mick Foley. The Class of 2017 will be inducted in May.

In addition to Michaels and Foley, other major names include Tatsumi Fujinami, the team of Harley Race (already inducted as a singles wrestler) and Larry Hennig, and Sputnik Munroe among many others in various categories. The Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame is independent of WWE and is the only major physical Hall of Fame in the United States and is located in Wichita Falls, Texas.

I love stuff like this. It’s cool to have something like this that doesn’t involve everything WWE related all the time. I also like the idea of only having a handful of names inducted a year. The WWE Hall of Fame has a major problem of putting in anyone they can get to answer a phone call and it really waters things down.

Are you a fan of something like the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame? Do you disagree with anyone in this year’s class? Let us know in the comments below.
