That’s some bad timing. You never know when you might see an injury take place and it is the kind of thing that no one is immune to. Some of these things can be a lot worse than others though, as occasionally an injury can put a wrestler on the shelf for a very long time. Unfortunately that might be the case for a certain wrestler at the moment, and it might impact someone else.
Part of the problems with a tag team is that when one wrestler goes down, so does the other. Occasionally you can find a team where one wrestler outshines the other and becomes the big star out of the pair, but more often than not it’s all for one and one for all. Therefore, an injury can be nothing short of devastating and that seems to be the case in this situation.
According to Fightful.com, Rezar may have suffered some sort of arm injury during Monday Night Raw’s main event. Rezar teamed with his AOP partner Akam, Seth Rollins and Murphy to defeat the Viking Raiders and the Street Profits. There is no word on what happened in the match to cause the injury or how long Rezar could be out of action. Akam missed significant time last year, leaving Rezar on the shelf as well.
It was a big match. Check out where the injury might have taken place:
Opinion: I’m not sure what to think of this but it could bring down the AOP all over again. Splitting them up as a team would be like splitting up the Legion of Doom: they are a lot better together than on their own and it would be strange to have both of them out there on their own. If this is some kind of a significant injury that could put Rezar out of the ring for a long time, I’m not sure how it is going to go for Akam and that could be a problem.
How do you see this going for the team? Could the members wrestle on their own? Let us know in the comments below.
