He’d like to stick around. It can be difficult for a wrestler to finally hang up their boots for good as there is always the hope of getting to stick around just a little while longer. That can be all the more complicated when a wrestler is still performing at a high level and getting one big paycheck after another. Another WWE legend is dealing with the same situation at the moment but now we know something more about what he is thinking.

Randy Orton has not wrestled since May 2022 due to recovery from a back injury. In recent months though, rumors have circulated that WWE is hoping Orton will be back in the ring around Survivor Series. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE believes Survivor Series is the “suggested time frame” for Orton’s return. Orton’s doctors are said to want him to retire but Orton, 43, is hoping to continue wrestling until he is 50.

Opinion: I don’t think it’s much of a secret that Orton is trying to come back at Survivor Series, even if that might not be the best move. At the end of the day, Orton seems to want to continue wrestling and if he can find a way to keep things safe, I can understand why he wants to do it. He’ll never have another chance to have this kind of success and that can be very tempting.
