He has a reason. One of the biggest wrestling stories of the year has been the return and fall of CM Punk to AEW. Punk returned to AEW television earlier this year but was then fired in just a few months after a series of backstage altercations. His firing has led to speculation of where he will be going next and now Punk is talking about what he might not be able to do.

Punk’s departure from AEW has led to speculation that he could be returning to WWE following a nearly ten year absence. This included discussions of Punk possibly returning next month at Survivor Series in his hometown of Chicago. Punk was interviewed by 670 The Score in Chicago and was asked if he would be at Survivor Series. In response, Punk said that he didn’t think there were any tickets left for the event and that he was busy taking care of his injured dog Larry. Punk reportedly attempted to return to WWE but was turned down. Survivor Series takes place on November 18.

Punk has been at the show before. Check out what he has done in WWE before:

Opinion: We’re to the point with Punk where there has been so much speculation about whether he’ll be back that I’ll believe it when I see it. It doesn’t help that he says things like this and makes things all the more confusing. I could go for Punk having one more run in WWE, but at the moment, it does not seem likely that he is going to be back. Stranger things have happened though and that makes it more interesting.
