He has a plan. There are all kinds of things that have come together to turn WWE into the success that it is today. One of their most important assets is the ability to help build up the future, as WWE runs its own in-house developmental system with NXT. Fightful Select is reporting that CM Punk was present at the WWE Performance Center this week for NXT despite not being obligated to do so. Punk is said to have been backstage all day and gave advice to anyone who asked for it. He also looked at various locations, ranging from the Gorilla Position to the tech area. Punk is reportedly welcome at the Performance Center whenever anytime as he was described as a “joy”. In addition, according to WrestlePurists, Punk has a long term goal of succeeding Shawn Michaels as head of NXT, though that might not be taking place for a very long time, assuming WWE is interested.
Like I said on Saturday, CM Punk’s long term goal is to succeed Shawn Michaels in NXT. Was told he was buzzing last night, didn’t sleep and flew to Orlando. He’ll be doing a lot of observing tonight, seeing how things work over there in terms of TV production. https://t.co/kZf8iwJRhI

Punk saw a good show. Check out what happened this week in NXT:
Opinion: While I’m not sure I can imagine Punk being the long term solution at the top of NXT, he certainly does have an idea. If this is something Punk wants to do and is able to help out here and there, good for him. Punk is one of those wrestlers who has been around the world and wrestled in all kinds of styles, which would offer some rather strong advice to anyone who might be interested.
