It’s over. While WWE gets the most attention in the wrestling world, there are other promotions out there which have their own place in the industry. You will occasionally see these companies in the news for things that have nothing to do with their in-ring product. That is the case again, and this time it ties together with WWE and in a rather positive way for both sides.

According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, WWE and Major League Wrestling (MLW) have reached a settlement in MLW’s antitrust lawsuit against WWE. The suit is expected to be officially dismissed within thirty days. The original lawsuit, filed last year, claimed that WWE pressured Tubi to cancel a deal with MLW to air their programming. There is no word on any terms of the settlement.

WWE has had some lawsuits before. Check out some of them over the years:

Opinion: That is a good result for both companies, as WWE will be getting rid of the lawsuit and MLW will get a nice payday while also no longer having to pay its legal team. There is a good chance that WWE wrote a check to make MLW go away in this whole ordeal and that is not a bad idea whatsoever. What matters most is that both companies can move forward with business as usual now, which should help both sides quite a bit.
