Si? Every now and then, a promotion becomes one of the hot beds of professional wrestling. There’s a spark to it that makes people more interested and the roster becomes some of the hotter free agents in wrestling. Over the last few years, Lucha Underground has fit that description and their wrestlers are commodities to a bunch of companies, including WWE. As luck would have it, two more stars are on their radar.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is currently interested in Pentagon Jr. and Rey Fenix. The two lucha libre stars, real life brothers, have appeared in a variety of promotions including Lucha Underground, Impact Wrestling and Major League Wrestling. Both have held the Lucha Underground Championship (Fenix is a Triple Crown winner and Pentagon is the reigning champion), they are the current Major League Wrestling Tag Team Champions and Pentagon is a former Impact Wrestling World Champion.
Here’s the two of them in action.
Opinion: I can’t say this is the biggest surprise in the world as Pentagon and to a lesser extent his brother have been some of the biggest stars in the industry over the last year. Their time in Lucha Underground turned them into hot commodities and with Ricochet already signed from the promotion, it was a matter of time before these two had their chance as well. I don’t know if they’ll go to WWE, but it seems to be a real opportunity.
Which of these two do you think will be more successful? Do you think they’ll sign with WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
