That wasn’t supposed to happen. Wrestling is one of the most complicated forms of entertainment that you will ever find. Not only are wrestlers tasked with doing everything in front of a live audience, but they also have to find a way to do what they have planned without making a major mistake. That can happen every so often, and it seems to have taken place again this week.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: On The Dotted Line: WWE Announces New NXT TV Deal With Huge Rights Fees Increase
This week’s Monday Night Raw featured a fatal four way match for an Intercontinental Title shot. The Miz won the match when he pinned Bronson Reed just as Ricochet kicked out of a moonsault from Ivar. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the ending to the match may have been botched as Ricochet was not supposed to kick out. The referee appeared hesitant to count and the announcement of Miz as the winner did not immediately take place. Ricochet may have been injured during the match and was reportedly checked for a concussion. There is no word on his status or the result of the test.
This could be a problem. Check out the match, plus Ricochet on his better days:
Opinion: That isn’t good and hopefully Ricochet is ok. It would also make sense as the ending to the match did not appear to go as planned. Ricochet being rocked would make things a bit more clear, as there was little logical reason for him to kick out at that moment. If nothing else, Ivar could get a rematch with Miz for the title shot next week to clear up any loose ends.
