WATCH: 53 Year Old Former WWE Superstar Surprises Chelsea Green After Monday Night Raw

Remember him? There have been countless wrestlers throughout WWE’s history and it is almost impossible to remember even most of them. While several came and went without making much of an impact, there are some who are more infamous for a few moments throughout their careers. WWE will occasionally bring some of these names back and that is what they did again this week.

This week’s Monday Night Raw featured a battle royal for a shot at Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley. Chelsea Green was included in the match but was eliminated. WWE has posted a video from after the show, showing Green backstage, complaining about her elimination. Former WWE Superstar Gene Snitsky appeared and said that it wasn’t his fault (his catchphrase) that Green was eliminated. Snitsky last wrestled for WWE in 2008, though he has returned to the independent circuit this year.

That came out of nowhere. Check out the cameo, plus Snitsky in WWE:

Opinion: This is one of the things that I love to see from WWE, as they can bring in a surprise name from out of nowhere for a surprise like this one. Snitsky is someone who is going to be remembered by older fans and it isn’t like he took up any kind of a spot. Having him come back for a surprise appearance in the Royal Rumble or something similar could work, but I’ll certainly take this for a cool moment.
