Add him to the list. There are a lot of roster changes in wrestling at the moment. It might be someone moving from WWE to a smaller company with a possibly brighter future or vice versa, but either way, things are changing in a hurry at the moment. However, some of the wrestlers are sticking around with WWE and that includes a former WWE Champion who has agreed to an extension.
According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Jinder Mahal has signed a new five year contract with WWE. While Mahal is currently chasing the 24/7 Title, he is a former WWE Champion, having held the title for six months in 2017 as well as a former United States Champion. Mahal’s latest run with WWE began in 2016 when he returned to the company after a two year hiatus.

Opinion: I’m not sure how valuable Mahal is either in or outside of WWE but good for him on locking up a deal like this. Mahal is certainly seen as one of the weaker modern WWE Champions but there is likely some value to someone with his resume outside of WWE. At least he gets something out of this and having him around as a jobber to the stars is fine enough.
