I mean, he still could do it. Starting just after WrestleMania 34, WWE started presenting biannual shows from Saudi Arabia, which have not been the most well received. While the shows do not tend to go well, they have brought in a few surprises in the form of bringing back some legends. While not necessarily in Saudi Arabia, another legend is sounding like a comeback of his own is possible.
On a recent episode of his podcast, Steve Austin said that he would be able to have another match if he chose to and could get through it safely. Austin said that various people including a lot of fans have asked him about having one more match due to recent appearances, which he describes as a tough thing to think about. It should be noted that Austin has not been mentioned as possibly having one more match and this was only in theory. His last match was at WrestleMania 19 in 2003 when he was forced to retire due to the long term effects of various injuries.
Austin has been around lately. Check out his most recent appearance earlier this month:
Opinion: I really can’t picture this happening but if there is one thing that I have learned in the last few years as a wrestling fan, it is to never say never. Austin really is one of the last big names who has stayed retired and that makes for an interesting potential return. At the end of the day though, Austin has more than enough money and doesn’t need the potential letdown so while I can see it being possible, I don’t think it actually happens.
