That’s a serious one. There are all kinds of injuries in the wrestling world and some of them can be absolutely awful. You never know how bad something is when you first see it and then the question becomes how long someone is going to be out of action. That is the case again with an AEW star and unfortunately the reality seems to be quite the long layoff for her recovery.
This week on AEW Dynamite, it was announced that Kris Statlander has suffered a knee injury and was no longer the #1 contender. Statlander has since uploaded a video to Instagram, revealing that she has suffered a torn ACL and will be undergoing surgery. There is no word on how long she will be out of action. This is Statlander’s second torn ACL during her time in AEW, though the previous tear was in her other knee.
It’s sad to see. Check out Statlander’s video:
Opinion: That is one of the worst injuries that you can get and you never want to see it happen to anyone. On top of the injury, there is the fact that it is her second. Statlander is 27 years old and is going to have missed the better part of two years rehabbing her knees. Hopefully it goes as well as it can, because that is the kind of injury that can ruin a career in a hurry.
What do you think of Statlander? What should she do when she gets back to AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
