He might have a future. Back at WrestleMania 38, Cody Rhodes made a surprise return to WWE after several years away from the company. Rhodes, fresh back from AEW, was instantly turned into a major star and now the question becomes how far he can go in the company. However, Rhodes is currently out of action with a torn pectoral muscle, but he is doing well in a few different areas.

Back in July, Rhodes won an ESPY Award for Best WWE Moment with his WrestleMania return. According to Fightful Select, Rhodes win was “very one sided” and he won with ease. At the same time, also according to Fightful Select, the Mattel Creations Ultimate Edition action figure of Rhodes has the highest pre-order rate for any figure Mattel has ever made for WWE. It is still not clear when Rhodes will return to the ring.

Opinion: Rhodes is a weird case of someone returning and already exceeding expectations. He was instantly a top star in the company and someone who could very easily be the next WWE World Champion. I’m wondering how well things will go when he gets back, as Rhodes hit the ground running in WWE but now he has to keep that momentum up once he returns. For now though, well done on both accounts and let’s see what else Rhodes can do.

What do you think of Rhodes’ return to WWE? How will it go when he gets back? Let us know in the comments below.
