And then on to Backlash. It’s been a busy time for WWE as of late with the Greatest Royal Rumble being held just four days ago. There’s no rest in sight for the wrestlers though as they have to get ready for Backlash this coming Sunday. That means we have one episode of SmackDown Live left before the show and WWE is in full on scramble mode to get the show built up as well as they can before Sunday gets here. So what do they have on tap for the final show?
WWE.com has released its official preview for this week’s episode of SmackDown live. The show will be a combination of the fallout from the Greatest Royal Rumble as well as the go home show for this Sunday’s Backlash pay per view. The big stories are Jeff Hardy appearing on MizTV along with Shinsuke Nakamura’s response to WWE Champion AJ Styles being more aggressive with him at the Greatest Royal Rumble. Here are the stories listed in the preview.
Jeff Hardy to appear on “Miz TV”
Shinsuke Nakamura demands a public apology from AJ Styles
Charlotte Flair and Carmella lead trios in Six-Woman Tag Team action
Will Big Cass revel in ruining Daniel Bryan’s Greatest Royal Rumble moment?
Opinion: At least things can get back to normal after Sunday. There’s been too much going on as of late and it will be nice to have things back the way they’re supposed to be. Let us see how the new rosters are going to do when they can have some time to breathe, which hasn’t been the case as of late. Backlash could still be good, but WWE is going to need something to go well this week on TV to get us there.
