The names they are a changin. It’s a rare thing for members of the NXT roster to receive new names but when they do, there’s a good chance that the new one is going to be a bit more unique. That’s certainly the case for Kenneth Crawford, a lower level NXT talent, has received such a new name.
According to PWmania.com, Crawford
will now be known as Montez Ford. The former Crawford has mainly been used as a tag wrestler on live events with Angelo Dawkins as his partner. He’s only made a handful of appearances on “NXT” TV and lost to jobber Steve Cutler in his most recent match on the show.

It’s probably a good sign that something is changing for Crawford. There’s only so much you can do with a generic name like Kenneth Crawford so maybe it’s time for something to change for him. I’m not exactly familiar with his work after only a few televised matches this year but maybe he’s got something that can be used on the main NXT roster.
What do you think of the new name? Do you think Ford could go somewhere in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
