Bigger is better. As previously announced, AJ Styles will defend his Smackdown World Title against Dolph Ziggler on the December 27, 2016 episode of “Smackdown Live”. However, due to incidents that took place this week, that match has now been changed with a new name being added to the mix.

Early in the show, Ziggler came out to talk some trash with Styles. As he was talking though, Baron Corbin interrupted and said Ziggler only won the shot because he didn’t have to deal with the Lone Wolf. This led to a beatdown on Ziggler, who demanded a match with Corbin later in the night. Ziggler even agreed to put his title shot on the line in the match, which ended in a double countout. As a result, General Manager Daniel Bryan put the three of them together in a triple threat match for the title on next week’s show.

As sick as I am of triple threats, this does help to add some drama to what was an otherwise uninteresting title match. I don’t think many people bought the idea of Ziggler winning the title on his own but there might be a way to buy a title change with Corbin as a wild card (hence why that’s a good name for the show). I’m not foaming at the mouth to see it or anything but this could be a good main event to wrap up the year.
