[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Hopefully it’s not too serious. Anytime a wrestler steps foot into a ring, there’s always the chance of an injury, either minor or severe. It could be something as simple as a black eye or something as severe as a torn ACL ala Tommaso Ciampa earlier this year. Unfortunately it looks like another wrestler has been bitten by the injury bug.

Kota Ibushi vs. Buddy Murphy: WWE NXT, July 27, 2016

According to Wrestlinginc.com, Buddy Murphy suffered some sort of an ankle or leg injury in a tag team match at the NXT house show in Cocoa, Florida on Thursday. Murphy was teaming with Kassius Ohno against Hideo Itami and the Velveteen Dream when he went down early in the match. After being tended to by the trainer, Murphy was forced to leave despite wanting to continue.

Opinion: As I said, hopefully it’s not too bad. Murphy hasn’t been on “NXT” very much lately but he’s a talented guy who could go somewhere if he’s given the right gimmick or story. The injury doesn’t seem to be too bad but you never want to risk someone being injured even worse by continuing a match.
