When Was Jason Jordan Told About Kurt Angle Storyline?

It’s kind of a major moment. Earlier this week, in what might have been the biggest storyline of the year, Jason Jordan was announced as Kurt Angle’s long lost son. While we’re not sure where the story is going, there are a few backstage details to the story that have started to come out.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter by way of 411mania.com, Jordan learned about the storyline last week. There was some question over whether Jordan or Chad Gable would get the role but the decision may have been a rib on Angle, who was known to date African American women throughout his career.

Opinion: I’d really hope they didn’t go with Jordan just for the sake of a rib on Angle. Gable and Jordan both have their careers turned upside down because of this story and hopefully there’s more thought put into it than going with what would make the creative team chuckle.
