It isn’t too long until ‘SummerSlam’ weekend is upon us. We have much to look forward to on the horizon. Of course there is ‘SummerSlam’ itself but one cannot forget NXT ‘TakeOver: Brooklyn III,’ featuring Bobby Roode vs. Drew McIntyre in the main event.

A reminder that more information about WWE 2K18 should be revealed around this time and the ‘Mae Young Classic’ briefing will air right after the ‘SummerSlam’ pay-per-view.

Shinsuke Nakamura's entrance: NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II, only on WWE Network

Above is a small clip of Shinsuke Nakamura making his way to the ring last year for NXT ‘TakeOver: Brooklyn II.’ It serves a good reminder of the type of attitude Nakamura had before he came to ‘Smackdown Live’ and gives us an idea of what to expect for this year.

Triple H unveiled through his Twitter account the three official songs for NXT ‘TakeOver: Brooklyn III.’ These would also later be revealed on NXT.

As you can see from the clip above, there are three songs that will air on the WWE Network during the PPV. The songs are, in full, as follows:

  • Bleeding In The Blue -Code Orange
  • Poison Pens- C R E E P E R
  • No Fear -Phil Ade feat. Saba Abraha & Tate Kobang

Triple explains that NXT is about ‘new blood’ and these artists are seemingly unknown to the majority of people. This is in and of itself a good decision on the part of WWE for a number of reasons. The costs are significantly less, they can form agreements with artists to potentially use in the future and they allow more exposure.

There are a few weeks remaining until NXT: ‘TakeOver: Brooklyn III’ and many matches are taking form. While the card is subject to change, it currently seems that matches featured will include Bobby Roode vs. Drew McIntyre for the NXT Championship, Ember Moon vs. Asuka for the NXT Womens Championship and the Authors of Pain vs. SAnitY for the NXT Tag Team Championship.

Editor’s Note:

These are some interesting songs. They all sound good and I can see them fitting into video packages and as background music. I am quite excited for the event. I see so much potential for a variety of amazing matches and moments but we have to wait and see.
