The next marathon for Extreme Rules. The Coronavirus has changed the way the wrestling world works and that is likely to be the case for a long time to come. It isn’t clear when things are going to be back to normal and that looks like WWE is going to have to try and figure out a new way of doing things. They seem to be getting into a rhythm, but that rhythm is going to be put to the test this week.

One of the best things that WWE has been able to do with their television tapings is tape events in advance. It’s an idea that makes sense, as they can get a lot of material in the can and then let their wrestlers stay at home instead of having to come to the Performance Center week after week. That makes a lot of sense for various shows, but pay per views are a little different. That will be the case again this week.

According to Fightful Select, WWE is planning to tape Extreme Rules in advance, along with several other upcoming shows. This will include tapings of Extreme Rules, two SmackDowns, a Monday Night Raw and two NXT’s over the course of seven days, starting on July 15. Should this work, WWE will have everything taped until the July 27 Monday Night Raw.

These shows have been taped in advance in recent weeks. Check out how some of them have gone:

Opinion: I’m not sure what to think about these things as they do make sense, but there are only so many things that WWE can do in a situation like this. Florida has been going insane with their Coronavirus cases and it would make sense to have as many shows in the can as possible, but at the same time, you can only ask the talent to do so much in such a short time.

What do you think of the schedule? How far in advance should WWE tape? Let us know in the comments below.
