It’s not their time? There are a lot of people who wrestle for WWE in one area or another. That can cause some problems at times as there are only so many places to put all of them. With so many people down in NXT, either in the main lineup or on the Florida circuit, fans often want to see these people get called up. That is often the case around one time of the year, but it might not be happening this time around.
One of the biggest traditions in WWE is to have a huge Monday Night Raw the night after WrestleMania. If WrestleMania is the season finale, the Monday Night Raw is the season premiere and usually offers new stories, characters and angles. It can change everything at once and that makes for a major show. However, there may be a new policy which changes the way things go.
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, there are no plans for WWE to call up several NXT names after this year’s WrestleMania. Instead, the plan is to bring people up when their storylines in NXT are done. There is still a chance that some names could be brought up after WrestleMania, though it is not known which names would be called up. NXT will have a presence at WrestleMania, with Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley defending against Charlotte.
NXT callups are a big deal. Check out some of the better ones:
Opinion: This is something that might take the fun out of the post WrestleMania show but at the same time, it is a good sign for NXT’s future. The promotion is being shown as an equal to Monday Night Raw or SmackDown so why should you have NXT be a place wrestlers are trying to escape at their first opportunity? It makes sense, though it might not be as fun.
