This time though a wrestler with a terrible injury is now cleared to return, though he might not want to.

During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, WWE’s Robert Roode revealed that he has been medically cleared to return to the ring after undergoing neck fusion surgery in December 2022 and May 2023. However, Roode said that at 47 years old and working for WWE as a producer, he does not feel he could wrestle full time. Roode said that while people would probably love to see him have a last match, “when the wheels fall off, the wheels fall off”. There is no word on if Roode is planning to return to the ring whatsoever. His last match took place on June 25, 2022.
Roode is a talented star. Check out what he did while he was in a WWE ring:
Opinion: It’s nice to hear Roode is cleared to return but at the same time, I can see why he might not want to get in the ring again. Roode is in his late 40s and has wrestled for a very long time. He is also almost two years removed from his last match and that is a very long layoff to shake off for a return. Roode might wrestle a few more times, but his career is mostly over and that is ok after everything he has done.
What do you think of Roode’s time in WWE? What is the best time of his career? Let us know in the comments below.
