They’re on fire. WWE has been undergoing a series of changes in the last year or so and that includes business going up. The company has been on a roll in recent times, with one record after another being set. This includes everything from premium live events to smaller scale shows, some of which are rather surprising. That was the case again over the weekend as WWE did rather well in a market where it was not expected.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE drew almost 10,000 for a weekend live event in Fresno, California. This was said to be the largest crowd for a live event in the United States outside of Madison Square Garden since August 2021, when fans were allowed to return after the pandemic. The Fresno show was described as a “normal house show” and “nothing”, with Cody Rhodes vs. Shinsuke Nakamura in a street fight headlining.

That’s a heck of a crowd. Check out what WWE has done at previous live events:

Opinion: There are times when momentum is so strong that you cannot explain what you are seeing and that is the case here. It’s not like there was anything special about the live event but at the end of the day, fans wanted to see it and WWE gets to brag about another huge gate. They are on an absolute roll right no matter where they go and my goodness it is amazing to see what they are pulling off.
