They had an idea. We are in one of the bigger periods for WWE when it comes to major events. WWE just presented Summerslam for one of the most important shows of the year but now we are on the way to Clash At The Castle for the biggest international show in company history. That is going to be a special night, and now it seems that the show has stolen a match from Summerslam.
WWE had announced a match between Seth Rollins and Riddle for Summerslam, but the match was canceled due to Rollins injuring Riddle on Monday Night Raw. Riddle’s injury is only part of a storyline though and WWE decided to move the match. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE simply made the change because they wanted the match for Clash At The Castle instead of at Summerslam. The match has not been announced to date but is expected to be in the coming weeks.
Opinion: This feels like one of those things that is changing because of the new regime, as they decided to move a match that was already planned. Riddle vs. Rollins is a match that has been set up for weeks and it will be nice to have it take place when things have been primed even more. Now just make sure everything works and we should be in for a heck of a showdown between two talented people.
