They did a lot. There are all kinds of titles in the wrestling world and it can make a big difference when someone wins or loses any of them. You will often see several of those titles take place at a major event, especially a pay per view. That was the case again this weekend, with one title managing to change hands twice in a night thanks to some crafty shenanigans.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: They All Did It: AEW’s Devil And Henchmen Revealed At Worlds End
There were three title changes over the weekend at AEW Worlds End. The show’s main event saw Maxwell Jacob Friedman lose the AEW World Title to Samoa Joe via referee stoppage when Friedman passed out in the Koquina Clutch. Earlier in the night, Adam Copeland defeated Christian Cage to win the TNT Title. Immediately following the match, Killswitch appeared to cash in the contract or a TNT Title shot he won earlier in the night. Cage told Killswitch to give him the contract, with Killswitch obeying, allowing Cage to win the title back from Copeland. All over champions retrained their titles.

Opinion: That is certainly a surprise set of title changes, especially with the second TNT Title change. It makes for an interesting change of pace, as Cage gets to win back the title through some less than realistic situations, but at the end of the day, it’s something that fits Cage perfectly. At the same time you have Joe, who is now the top name in AEW and that could make for more than a few cool options.
