Up For Grabs? Current AEW Star May Be The Subject Of A Bidding War Next Year

He could go either way. The introduction of AEW has changed the wrestling world as there is now another major wrestling promotion. This allows wrestlers a new place to go and can occasionally open up wrestlers to a bidding war from both AEW and WWE. While it hasn’t started yet, there is a chance that a wrestler could be the subject of one when his current deal expires.

AEW’s Andrade El Idolo wrestled a match for CMLL earlier this month and attended a press conference after the match. El Idolo said that he had a lot of “open doors” in 2024, as it is believed that his current AEW deal expires at some point in the year. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there are some in WWE who believe that El Idolo will be returning to WWE at some point in the new year. However, there is also the chance that he could re-sign with AEW if he is given a better offer.

Opinion: It makes sense that multiple promotions would be interested in having El Idolo around as he is a talented star and someone who can appeal to various markets. Hopefully he gets the best deal imaginable, as he is more than good enough to work for any major promotion. El Idolo has been getting better and better in AEW in recent months and that might be paying off in the near future.
