New Title Match Set For TLC

One more for the near Christmas card. We’re less than a week away from TLC and that means most of the card has already been set. However, as you may have heard before, the catch with any WWE show is “card subject to change”. That’s the case with TLC as well, as there’s always time to add another match to the card. In this case, it happens to be a title match.

As announced in a video on WWE’s YouTube page, 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick has made a Cruiserweight Title match for TLC, with champion Buddy Murphy defending against former champion Cedric Alexander. The match was set up two weeks ago when Alexander pinned Murphy in a tag team match. It is also a rematch from Super Showdown when Murphy defeated Alexander to win the title.

He’s quite the speaker. Here’s Maverick’s announcement:

Opinion: This was the most logical move they could have made and it seems to be taking place on the pay per view. That’s still a very rare thing for the cruiserweights and it’s nice to see the division getting at least a little attention for a change. After several months of not clicking, 205 Live has gotten a lot better and it deserves some time on the pay per view. Now if only they can have a great match.
