WATCH: New Pairing Set Up During NXT

Old and new. Legends are a tricky concept in wrestling as a wrestling promotion has to find the right way to use them properly. If you do not use them properly, they take away the focus from the young star and that is the kind of problem that can cause more trouble than it is worth. NXT is having to try and figure something out this time and now they might have a good idea.

This week’s edition of NXT featured the Million Dollar Faceoff between Cameron Grimes and Ted DiBiase. The segment included DiBiase saying that he wanted the kind of wrestler who understood how to use money but also had the abilities to back it up in the ring. DiBiase said that he did not think that Grimes was staying focused in the ring. LA Knight then interrupted and suggested that he was the perfect choice for DiBiase. Grimes told Knight to leave but Knight attacked him before leaving with DiBiase. There is no word on how often DiBiase will be appearing on NXT in the future.

Opinion: I’m curious to see how this is going to work as it would seem to set up a match at Takeover. If nothing else, there is always the chance that it could be for the reestablished Million Dollar Title. There are some options here and that makes for a good story, especially with DiBiase playing his role to perfection so far. If nothing else, it is nice to see Knight and Grimes both having something to do, which has not really been the case in the last few months.
