That would have been very different. Stables are an idea that have worked in wrestling for decades and they are still around to this day. During a recent appearance on the Not Sam podcast, Adam Copeland, formerly known as Edge during his time in WWE, spoke about his time in the Judgment Day stable. During the interview, Copeland revealed that the stable’s original idea was to be something like a New Brood. The team’s concept changed when Finn Balor was added to the lineup, which saw Copeland kicked out. Judgment Day was never meant to be a full on recreation of the Brood, but rather something similar in nature. Copeland was part of the Brood from 1998-1999.

Opinion: This is something that makes sense on paper and I can kind of see the similarities with the more Gothic look and feel. At the same time, Judgment Day has evolved since its introduction and that has been an improvement in a variety of ways. The Brood was more over the top and not as successful, so this seems to have been the better choice between the options available.
