The holiday effect. This week’s episode of “Monday Night Raw” was highlighted by a steel cage match pitting Big Show against Braun Strowman. The show ended with a big spot as Strowman powerslamed Show through the cage, but the question was how many people were around to see it. This week’s show was the Labor Day episode and that meant the numbers might be taking a hard hit.
According to 411mania.com, this week’s show drew a 1.04 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 2.932 million viewers. These numbers are down 10% from last week’s 1.16 rating and down 11% from last week’s 3.304 million viewers. In addition to the holiday, WWE also had to deal with a major college football game on ESPN.

Opinion: These numbers aren’t as bad as they could be, but there’s a good chance WWE will find out how bad it can get next week with the return of “Monday Night Football”. There was no way the show was going to draw any kind of an audience on a holiday and it’s hard to be surprised. It was a good enough show but in this case, there was no way around the fall.
