Out of many, two. Earlier this year, WWE debuted their new show called Mixed Match Challenge. The idea was to take a group of teams comprised of a man and woman each and set up a tournament with the winner earning bragging rights and money for a charity of their choice. A second season took place a few months later, with the finals taking place at TLC. Well TLC is this Sunday, so who is going to the finals?
This week on Mixed Match Challenge, Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox (Monday Night Raw) and R-Truth and Carmella (SmackDown Live) qualified for the finals on Sunday at TLC. Mahal and Fox defeated Bayley and Apollo Crews when Fox pinned Bayley and R-Truth pinned Miz. The two teams will move on to TLC for a match where the winners will receive the #30 spots in their respective Royal Rumbles and a vacation anywhere in the world.
R-Truth and Carmella are pretty much here because of this. Check out the biggest dance break ever:
Opinion: So yes, the teams who didn’t win until the last week of the original competition made the finals and will be getting pay per view slots with one of them each getting the final spots in the Royal Rumble. I’m not wild on the idea, but it was about as obvious as it was going to be after the semifinals were announced. Hopefully Sunday’s match isn’t that bad, but it’s going to be the popcorn break match for sure.
