That’s a serious situation. Injuries can take place at any time in a wrestling match. It is a dangerous, physical sport that can see someone get banged up one way or another in the blink of an eye. Some of those injuries are the kind that you do not see on the surface but others are a lot more obvious, which was the case during a match this week. It turns out that it was even worse than it seemed.
The main event of this week’s AEW Dynamite saw Jon Moxley successfully defend the Interim AEW World Title against Chris Jericho. Both of them were busted open during the match, with Jericho bleeding near the end of the match. According to Fightful Select, Jericho was busted open hard way during the match. As a result, Jericho received seven stitches in his head, though he is not expected to miss any ring time.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that can happen to anyone at any time in a match and that is never good to see. The only positive about this is that the injury seems to be superficial rather than anything serious. The blood did make the match feel more like a fight so it was kind of a nice bonus in a way, but hopefully it is something that doesn’t happen too often.
