So long TNA? Earlier this year, Anthem Sports and Media officially took over TNA and that means things are going to be changing. One such thing is the TNA name, which seems to be being phased out. There are two areas to suggest that this is happening and one of them can be seen every week on “Impact Wrestling”.

As pointed out in the “Wrestling Observer Newsletter”, “They never used the name TNA except the closing graphic which listed Anthem Sports & Entertainment and TNA Wrestling Productions. The push was for the name Impact.” The other point is the official TNA Twitter, which has also dropped all references to TNA and now only goes by “Impact Wrestling”. Nothing official has been changed but these are pretty clear signs.

While I don’t think it’s going to make that big of a difference, it would be nice to have them do SOMETHING diferent as it’s not like what they’ve got going on at the moment has worked for the last….well ever really. If nothing else, Impact Wrestling sounds a bit better than TNA Wrestling, though they have a lot more changes necessary than just a simple name change.

Do you think the name will make a difference? Do you like the owl logo? Let us know in the comments below.
