NXT Women’s Title Match Set for “Takeover: San Antonio”

Ask and she shall receive. It’s safe to say that Asuka is running out of competition. She destroyed Bayley twice, defended against the legendary Mickie James and took out Nia Jax again. There’s no one for her to fight at the moment and neither member of the top heel tandem on the roster, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, offer any real threat to her title reign.

The solution? Put both of them and a crazy woman named Nikki Cross in the title match at the same time as a fatal four way, which was announced today on WWE.com. Asuka asked General Manager William Regal for the title match to end this week’s episode of “NXT” and Regal didn’t give an answer. The uncertainty lasted less than a day as the match was announced less than twenty four hours later.

Honestly, what else is there to do at this point? It’s clear that Asuka needs fresh competition and while no one in the division is ready to fight her, the right idea seems to be to throw a bunch of people at her at once. This is the solution that has worked in other divisions before and it should work fine here but if Asuka retains, they need someone big to face her in Orlando over Wrestlemania weekend.
