Update on Naomi’s Return to WWE

By the powers of the glow. The “Smackdown Live” women’s division isn’t the strongest in the world but they make do with what they have. The division is only comprised of a handful of women and that number was taken down a bit due to Naomi suffering an ankle injury that has sidelined her for a few weeks. That seems to be changing soon though.

According to Naomi’s Twitter, she’s been out to take care of some issues with some “much needed time off”. There’s no word on what that means but there’s always a chance it’s some personal issues to go with the ankle injury. Naomi’s last match on WWE TV was back in November and there is no definitive word on when she’ll be back.

I know the general rule of thumb is to say that the “Smackdown Live” women’s division needs all the help it can get but really, they’re making it work very well with what they have. The use of jobbers, even if they’re CJ Lunde, have done wonders for the division as it prevents us from doing the same matches over and over again and then wondering why watching those matches AGAIN doesn’t work. It’s almost like there’s something to this storytelling thing.
