Mojo Rawley Hints at a Gimmick Change

Can he be serious for a minute? Mojo Rawley debuted in NXT a few years back and was one of the best on the roster at getting your attention. His in ring work might not have been at the top level but he was excellent about getting the crowd fired up. You might even say he could get them hyped. However, it seems that Rawley is ready to change things up a little bit.

On his Twitter page, Rawley says that people are underestimating him and it’s made him want to change. Rawley also spoke about it on this week’s episode of “Talking Smack”, where he talked about being more serious and not wearing Zubaz pants anymore. This could mean a newer, more serious gimmick but there aren’t a lot of details at this point.

I’m always up for an updated gimmick, but I’m not sure if Rawley has the in ring abilities to make a more serious gimmick work. Rawley has gotten where he is by the energy that he brings to the ring but if that’s gone, what exactly is there left for him to do? I know he needs something to do while the Hype Bros are on the shelf and maybe this is it, though I’ll need to see more first.
