So you’re saying there’s a chance? Shawn Michaels retired after “Wrestlemania XXVI” back in 2010 and the rumors of a comeback haven’t stopped since. The rumors have picked up even more with “Royal Rumble 2017” taking place in Michaels’ hometown of San Antonio, Texas. With Michaels doing media appearances to promote his new movie “The Resurrection of Gavin Stone”, TMZ asked if he’ll ever wrestle again.

Michaels made the answer very clear again: “Definitely not. Not if I can help it.” These same questions have been asked for a very long time now and the answer has always been the same. Michaels remains one of only a handful of wrestlers to not go back on his retirement promise and has only gotten physical a handful of times in the nearly seven years since he walked away.

Can we please stop these questions? Michaels is 51 years old and went out in a classic against the Undertaker. Do we really need to see him get in the ring again for one more thrill that has a very strong chance of not being up to his old standards? The first comeback was nothing short of a miracle and this would be two and a half years longer than the first hiatus. These questions are getting old and I’m glad Michaels has stuck to his guns on this one.
