Someone has to keep count. The Royal Rumble is a match that is all about the numbers (quite so in some cases). With over thirty years worth of action, there have been a lot of people, matches and time to look at, but the most interesting number is eliminations. The more of these you have, odds are the better that you’re going to do in the match. Some people are better than others though and can do rather well year to year.
It’s kind of a career one time only thing. Check out this historical version of List This:
WWE has released a new episode of List This, looking at the Five Wrestlers With the Most Royal Rumble Eliminations in a single match. This is exactly what the title suggests as the countdown features wrestlers who eliminated the most matches in any given edition of the Royal Rumble. These date back nearly since the beginning of the match’s history, though one entry on the list is a little different than the rest.
Opinion: I’m a stats guy so something like this is interesting. I’m really not sure how fair it is to compare Braun Strowman’s accomplishment in last year’s Greatest Royal Rumble to the regular additions. Yes he eliminated more wrestlers than anyone else ever had, but he also faces more wrestlers than anyone ever had in a Royal Rumble. That’s not exactly fair, so Roman Reigns is still at the top in my eyes.
