Same Beast, new sheriff. The big draw of “Summerslam 2017” was the main event: a fatal four way match for the Universal Title with champion Brock Lesnar defending against Samoa Joe, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman. Lesnar has never faced an opposition like this before and it was really unclear if he would leave as champion.

Lesnar did in fact retain the title at “Summerslam 2017” with an F5 to Reigns. The match was the longest of the night at about twenty one minutes and saw Lesnar destroyed by Strowman, causing the champion to be taken out on a stretcher. Lesnar later came back and rejoined the fight, eventually finishing Reigns to retain the title.

If you haven’t seen the match yet, here’s a good way to get ready for it.

Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman collide tonight at SummerSlam

Opinion: Lesnar may have won but Strowman came out of this looking like the star. He destroyed Lesnar multiple times and sent the champion away on a stretcher. Strowman also didn’t take the fall and looks primed to face Lesnar in a major one on one showdown somewhere in the near future. Lesnar retained, but he’s not the dominant monster anymore.

Do you like Lesnar retaining? Who will be the one to take the belt from him? Let us know in the comments below.
