That should wrap it up. With less than two weeks to go until “Takeover: San Antonio”, only three of the five to six matches were set. As is so often the case in NXT though, that problem was solved quickly enough. On this week’s episode of “NXT”, two more matches were added to likely give us the complete card.

This week, Roderick Strong vs. Andrade Cien Almas and Tye Dillinger vs. Eric Young were both added to the card. Strong’s issues with Almas started when Almas made fun of Strong last week. Dillinger vs. Young goes back a bit further but really came to a head when Young demanded that Dillinger join the Sanity group but was turned down flat. The ensuing brawl was enough to set up the match.

Works for me. If there’s one thing that NXT knows how to do, it’s put on the big cards. These matches certainly won’t be the headliners but they’ll be great choices to fill in the top half of the card until we get to the bigger matches. If those are good, they can easily counteract a weaker series of feature matches, assuming NXT knows how to put on bad matches.

Here’s the updated card:

Roderick Strong vs. Andrade Cien Almas
Eric Young vs. Tye Dillinger
Women’s Title: Asuka vs. Peyton Royce vs. Billie Kay vs. Nikki Cross
Tag Team Titles: DIY vs. Authors of Pain
NXT Title: Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Bobby Roode
