That’s quite the main event. What Culture Pro Wrestling has gone from an upstart to a pretty hot independent promotion in a very short stretch of time. Last night they held a pay per view with one heck of a special main event as Alberto El Patron faced Kurt Angle in what was billed as Angle’s last ever match in the UK.

According to WrestleZone.com, Angle defeated El Patron via submission with the ankle lock at the “True Destiny” event. After the match, What Culture wrestler Joe Hendry came out to thank Angle for everything he had done but gave Angle an Angle Slam as the show went off the air.

With Angle going into the Hall of Fame this year, these big time independent dates are going to be winding down. Seeing him face another big star like El Patron is a good idea and something that is going to draw eyes to the promotion while having a good match. This could set up Hendry vs. Angle in another final match, which makes sense at this point and could sell a lot of tickets.

Angle had something to say about El Patron and the match in general on Twitter:

Who should induct Angle into the Hall of Fame? Who else should join him in the Class of 2017? Let us know in the comments below.
