We have some unfortunate news to report this morning. Chavo Guerrero Sr., the brother of WWE Hall of Famer Eddie Guerrero and father of Chavo Guerrero, Jr., passed away on Saturday at age 68, due to liver cancer.

The following post by Chavo Jr. broke the news:

Chavo Sr., also known as Chavo Classic, was a part of a legendary wrestling family. His father was the legendary Gory Guerrero, and his brothers, Mando, Hector and Eddie, also all found incredible success in the world of professional wrestling.

Chavo Classic made his way to WWE in 2004. He would enter himself into a feud between Chavo Jr. and Eddie. This would go on to Classic becoming the oldest then-Cruiserweight Champion in history, defeating Chavo Jr. and Spike Dudley in a triple threat match.

Several wrestling personalities have taken to social media, to comment on the passing of Chavo Classic:

We at Wrestling Rumors extend our deepest condolences and sympathies to the entire Guerrero family.
