Pick a fight with something on you? Aleister Black is someone who immediately gets your attention. He has one of the most unique looks in all of wrestling due to his pretty incredible set of tattoos, but at the same time he also has some great offense, including the Black Mass spinning kick to the head. That’s one of those ideas that is going to work on everyone and Black has got it down to a science. Black was on a roll when he came up to the main roster but has cooled down a bit since. Now the slowing down may be even worse.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Black is currently out of action due to an injury that is described as a “tweak” of some sort. The nature of his injury, including the part of his body that has been hurt, is not known. The injury is said to not be severe and he should be back to the ring shortly. Black’s most recent match took place on the October 21 Monday Night Raw when he defeated a local talent named Jason Reynolds in a short match.
Black has been on the main roster since earlier this spring when he was called up along with Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano and Ricochet. The four of them have had mixed results on the main roster, with Gargano only wrestling a handful of matches before returning to NXT, Ciampa leaving to undergo neck surgery, Black being rarely used as he normally sits in a dark room asking someone to pick a fight with him, and Ricochet, who has been by far the most successful as a former United States Champion.
Ain’t that a kick in the head. Check out some of Black’s best work:
Opinion: Black is one of those guys who could be a big deal in WWE just for the sake of how hard and fast he can kick people. I know that sounds like something so simple and basic but he does it so well that it makes him look like a star almost instantaneously. You can see those kicks connecting and they make you realize that he can do things that almost no one else can. Now why is WWE having him sit in a dark room instead of being out there against someone on a regular basis?
