Rumor: What Is Kevin Owens Up For When He Returns To WWE?

Welcome home. Last fall, Kevin Owens took some time off from WWE to take care of two severely damaged knees. They both required surgery and Owens left for a few months to heal. While we aren’t all the way there yet, it’s almost time for the big return. WWE has even started advertising for Owens to come back. So what is he going to do when he shows up?

According to Joe Peisich on the Barnburner Fired Up podcast, Owens is likely to be feuding with Bobby Lashley upon his return. Lashley was the person who attacked Owens and put him on the shelf in the first place. As of this Monday, Lashley is also the reigning Intercontinental Champion so there is a chance that the feud could be a title program. The return could take place as soon as the day after the Royal Rumble.

Opinion: That makes sense and it’s rather interesting to see Owens possibly coming back into the company as a good guy for a change. He’s one of the best talkers on the roster and it should be interesting to see what he’s going to do from the other side of the villain spectrum. I’m not sure how the matches would go, but Owens on two fixed knees should work well.
