Them too? The big surprise news from earlier today was the rumor of the Revival wanting out of their WWE contracts. It’s not completely unheard of but it’s not something that happens every single day. The rise of AEW seems to have ignited the idea though, as now it seems that not only is it happening every day, but it might even be happening twice in the very same day.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Mike and Maria Kanellis are also trying to get out of their WWE deals. The two signed with the company back in 2017 and made their debuts at Money in the Bank that same year. Since then, they have barely appeared at all on television, including Maria having a baby and Mike undergoing treatment for addiction. The two have been appearing on 205 Live as of late, but neither has done much. It should be noted that WWE is under no obligation to release them and could just pay them to sit at home until their contracts expire.

At least something good came out of their time with the company. Check out this very cool look at Mike’s recovery from addiction:

Opinion: Really, I can’t say I’m surprised. The two of them have been making it rather clear that they’re not happy over the way they’ve been used. Mike was a strong star in Ring of Honor, though Maria always came off as the centerpiece of the two. She can talk, plays a very good villain and makes you want to see her get what she deserves. Maybe they’re better suited for the smaller promotions and if that’s the case, good luck to them.
