That is a long time. In most promotions, the World Title is the top prize and the main focal point of the company a good chunk of the time. Being the champion can mean a lot for the champion but a title defense might mean even more for the fans. However, there are some titles that are not defended as often as others and now we have an update on the least defended WWE championship.

Roman Reigns has now held the Universal Title for over 1,100 days, as well as the WWE Championship for over 500 days. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Roman Reigns is not expected to defend his titles until Crown Jewel on November 4. The match will be Reign’s first title defense since Summerslam and his fifth televised title defense so far this year.

Opinion: Reigns has held the Universal Title for over three years now and this is a big reason why. Almost never defending the title certainly helps keep it stay in one place and this is going to be around three months between title defenses. I’m curious to see who he will be facing, but at the same time, I’m happy to actually have the World Champion back on WWE TV.
