The Other Side: Former AEW Champion Reportedly Finishing Up With Company, Believed To Be WWE Bound

Come on over? The introduction of AEW has changed the wrestling world, as there is now another large scale American wrestling promotion. As a result, all kinds of wrestlers, both old and new, have been given a place to showcase themselves on a big stage. It can open up several new doors, and that seems to be the case again, albeit this time, it is a door to the competition.

Former AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill made a surprise return last weekend at Collision, attacking reigning champion Kris Statlander. A title match has been set for this week’s edition of Rampage. According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Cargill is currently finishing up with AEW and sources in both AEW and WWE believe that Cargill is on her way to WWE. There is no word on when her AEW deal expired.

Opinion: This would certainly be a big move for Cargill, who has shown all kinds of potential during her time in AEW. Giving her access to WWE’s resources could make things that much better for her and maybe that is wher we are going. This is the kind of thing that you do not see happen very often, but there is a chance that might change as more contracts come up.
