He is still with WWE though and now we know a bit more about his status.

WWE has recently shaken up its Board Of Directors, which required a filing with the Securities And Exchange Commission (SEC). According to the filing, Shane McMahon is still part of WWE as an independent contractor and was paid approximately $828,000 in 2022. McMahon wrestled one match for the company during the year, appearing in the Men’s Royal Rumble match for less than six minutes. He was sent home after the show due to disagreements over how he should be presented.

Opinion: I’m not surprised that McMahon is still with the company, but the salary is going to cause more than a few shaking heads. At the end of the day, McMahon’s time in WWE in 2022 was little more than a footnote but he made close to a million dollars.
